Victoria de Manila - LOCATION
Once the construction is completed, you will find the Victoria de Manila towering over one of the busiest parts of the nation’s capital, which is along Pedro Gil Street. The immediate neighborhood is chock-full of commercial establishments, restaurants, and schools, making it an ideal place to raise a family.
If you are planning to move your family into the Victoria de Manila and you have school-age children, you will not have a hard time looking for good schools. There are dozens of great private and public elementary and high schools scattered all around the city. If you are looking for colleges, you just need to head over to the Espana and C.M. Recto area to find the famed Manila University Belt. There are more than a dozen universities and colleges in the area, like the University of Sto. Tomas, Far Eastern University, University of the East, Centro Escolar University, and many more.
Regardless of the career path your children might choose, you can be sure to find the right college where they can get the right kind of education. If you do not want to go far, just around the block from the Victoria de Manila is the Philippine Christian University, and a few more minutes away is the Manila Campus of the University of the Philippines.
Hospitals are also abundant in the Pedro Gil area of Manila. In fact, just two blocks away from the Philippine General Hospital, one of the largest government-funded hospitals in Metro Manila. There, you will find teams of highly trained medical professionals and staff. The best thing is that since they are subsidized by the government, most medical services are free of charge. If you want to check into a private hospital, just five minutes away by cab is the Manila Doctor’s Hospital, which is located right at the outskirts of the Rizal Park.
Shopping and recreational facilities are also quite abundant in this area of Manila. In fact, there is one large shopping mall, Robinson’s Place Manila, which is just within walking distance from the Victoria de Manila condominium. If you want more shopping options, just two short jeepney rides away is the SM City Manila. If you enjoy bargain hunting, you can take a short taxi ride towards the Divisoria area, which is just fifteen to thirty minutes away depending on the traffic situation. There, you will find everything that you can imagine and all at bargain basement prices.
Gone are the days when it is terrifying to walk the streets of Manila due to rampant crimes. These days, thanks to increased police visibility and the national police force cracking down on crimes in Metro Manila, it is actually safe and quite enjoyable to walk around the neighborhood. The great thing about living in the Pedro Gil area, and in Manila in general, is that you do not know what you will discover in every corner, so you should at least try to explore your new surroundings once you are a resident of Victoria de Manila.
