There are dozens of great private and public elementary and high schools scattered all around the city. If you are looking for colleges, you just need to head over to the Espana and C.M. Recto area to find the famed Manila University Belt. There are more than a dozen universities and colleges in the area, like the University of Sto. Tomas, Far Eastern University, University of the East, Centro Escolar University, and many more.

If you want more shopping options, just two short jeepney rides away is the SM City Manila. If you enjoy bargain hunting, you can take a short taxi ride towards the Divisoria area, which is just fifteen to thirty minutes away depending on the traffic situation. There, you will find everything that you can imagine and all at bargain basement prices.

Gone are the days when it is terrifying to walk the streets of Manila due to rampant crimes. These days, thanks to increased police visibility and the national police force cracking down on crimes in Metro Manila, it is actually safe and quite enjoyable to walk around the neighborhood.
